The Mystery of the Amber Room?

The Catherine Palace at Tsarskoye Selo near Saint Petersburg previously housed one of the world’s most expensive and exquisite chambers. The Amber Room got its name from the gorgeous amber panels on the walls, which were embellished with mirrors and gold leaf. When the Nazis invaded Russia during World War II, they destroyed the Amber Room and took the components to Königsberg, Germany. Its locations have never been established since, and the fate of the priceless treasures remains unknown.
